ABOUT STEPHANIE

I work in my York based studio creating luxury greetings card & stationery ranges, surface patterns and commissioned work. I gained a first-class degree in Graphic Art: Illustration from Liverpool John Moores University, and shortly after this I was offered a placement at Hallmark Cards which resulted in a freelancing contract. I have since worked with various other greetings card and craft companies including U.K Greetings and Trimcraft. I then became head in-house designer for a paper craft company where I designed greetings cards and surface pattern for paper pad collections sold on QVC, Ideal World and Create & Craft. My paper craft designs can often be found in The Range and Wilkinsons.

I decided to take the leap and create my own business and since then I've been lucky enough to see my products sold in stores such as Anthropologie and Fenwicks, as well as gaining some truly wonderful independent stockists.

My biggest achievement was being named winner of the 2023 ‘Lynn Tait Most Promising Young Designer’ at the Henries Awards. I was also proud to win the Make it in Design Printsource New York competition. The prize was to exhibit my designs in one of the top surface pattern trade shows in New York which was an experience I will never forget.

About the brand

PRODUCTS

The primary focus is to create design-led greetings cards and stationery that you are excited to give and delighted to receive. The aim is to create that perfect finishing touch to a gift or just a special note to make your loved one smile.

THE PROCESS

From initial ideas to final products, each process is carried out with the most obsessive eye for detail, ensuring every product reaches the stockist at its highest standard of quality. The ideas start with a concept board which helps each collection develop it’s own unique theme and style. After colours are matched carefully, designs are sent to print. Our paper is intentionally selected to give you an element of luxury in your hands, for extra tactile detail. Finishing touches may be added such as beautiful foiling and flittering, and any crystals are heat bonded with great care by hand in the studio. Products are carefully packaged in house to complete the excellent company standards.

STOCKISTS

Stephanie Davies is committed to producing unique and high-quality products that aim to be beautiful additions to a large range of retailers shelves. We are intentional in our efforts to provide the highest level of service for our retailers.

THE DIFFERENCE

Stephanie Davies is driven towards a value for excellence in every detail, from initial sketches to hand embellished finishing touches. But what really makes our products unique is Stephanie's passion for detailed illustration. Each design is lovingly hand illustrated in Stephanie's nostalgic and timeless style, designing only towards the most up and coming trends with a subtle nod to the past. Specifically designed to make beautiful, unique additions to our retailer's shelves.

THE ENVIRONMENT

Great pride is taken in the fact we try and source the most eco-friendly materials when producing Stephanie Davies products. On the back of every greetings card you will find a logo which means that each card printed carrying this logo can be traced back to source. It is the gold standard of responsible forest management, and among other environmental pledges means that the mills supplying our paper will plant more trees each year than are felled. Also, every product is digitally printed. This means that fewer chemicals are used in the process compared with other methods of printing. There is also little paper waste with this method and is completely recyclable. Our packaging is also carefully sourced, with our eco-kraft envelopes being 100% recycled and our cello wrapping biodegradable.
